Moving overseas to look for work?

Whether you fancy a working holiday or want to re-launch your career abroad there are a variety of options available. You’ll find it’s easier if your skills are in high demand. Australia is currently looking for dentists, psychiatrists, bakers and tree surgeons.  While nurses, engineers and construction managers should be welcomed with open arms in Canada. New Zealand currently has more jobs than people. So this may be a great time for you to take your skills there.

If you fancy staying closer to home and don’t mind learning another language, EU membership and expansion means it’s easy to live and work in the 27 EU countries. In February 2009 the number of UK Nationals working in other EU countries was approximately 286,000. The main destinations are Germany (65,000), Ireland (52,000), Spain (42,000), France (36,000), Netherlands (28,000). So you may find you’re sitting next to a fellow countryman at your job interview in The Hague.
